Re:surge is a first person arena shooter focusing on fast and constant action inspired by games like Quake and Doom. The game is multiplayer only. Like Quake, there is no mechanical difference between characters that the player can choose and players need to learn and look around the map to find good weapons to defeat each other with.
This is one of the two multiplayer games I have worked on. This one used the "Forge Networking Remastered" asset instead of Unity's own online framework. Re:Surge is also one of the larger projects I have worked on, consisting of a group of about 15 people working the game. Besides programming I was also responsible for version control, we used git and thus I was responsible for coordinating the master branch. Re:Surge was also nominated for the Swedish Game Awards in the Best Diversity Execution category. Re:Surge is currently being worked on further by Thunderpunch Entertainment.
